Ownership Commitment

The kitten will be available to go to their new home when they are around 12 weeks old and the balance of the money needs to be paid before pick up. If the kitten is to fly interstate, the balance should be paid 2 weeks before flights.

What to Expect

Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a kitten from Somerset British Shorthairs, but it does not guarantee I'll get a kitten from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time. APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT $500: I will review applications within 2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, I'll notify you. During pregnancy, approved homes will be notified, and kittens will be allocated in the order approved applications were received. Please make this deposit within 24 hours of the approval e-mail. If you make a deposit, you are committing to take a kitten from us. If for any reason you change your mind the non-refundable deposit of $500 will be kept. YOUR PICK OF KITTEN: Kittens will be assigned in deposit order by the first or second preference of the depositor as indicated on the application. If neither of your choices are available, you may elect another kitten from the litter. We ask that you make a choice within 24 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose. It is not forwarded to an upcoming litter in 6 months’ time. GOING HOME: We cannot hold kittens for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the kitten departs within a reasonable timeframe. If your kittens has to stay here longer than the original date agreed when they are 12weeks old or 13weeks if travelling interstate you will be charged $7.50 per day for boarding and food. CONTRACT: We have a contract and will not place a kitten without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your kitten. Original papers will not be forwarded until we have received the Paperwork from Ancats. Every effort is made to have the papers ready upon pick up of your kitten however this can be delayed at times. All kittens are sold Desexed REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our kittens are registered with the The Australian National Cats Inc (ANCATS) original pedigree papers will be posted if not available at time of pickup Our Breeder Registration Number is 17359
